Terms of Service

Effective date: April 15, 2026

Note: These are v1 terms. We'll update them — with 14 days' notice by email — before any paid subscription charges go live. If anything here is unclear, email support@resaletruth.com.

1. Agreement

By creating a ResaleTruth account or using resaletruth.com and app.resaletruth.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service. "ResaleTruth," "we," "us," and "our" refer to ResaleTruth and its operators.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you are. If you're using it on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

3. Account terms

You're responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Use a strong password. Don't share your credentials. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised at support@resaletruth.com.

One person or entity per account. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.

4. Free trial

New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with up to 25 items tracked. No credit card is required during the trial. At trial end — or when you reach 25 items — your account enters a locked state until you choose a paid plan or export your data. We reserve the right to adjust trial terms with notice.

5. Paid subscriptions — billing and cancellation

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Prices are listed on the pricing page at resaletruth.com/pricing. We'll notify you by email before any price increases take effect.

Monthly subscriptions cancel at the end of the current billing period. You keep your data — downgrade to trial-locked status or export before the period ends.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days. We'll investigate and issue a refund or credit if the charge was our mistake.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. ResaleTruth does not store your payment card information.

6. Founder Credit

The first 50 paying customers may qualify for the Founder Credit — a promotional discount applied automatically to their first year of subscription. The Founder Credit is non-transferable, expires after 12 months of subscription, and is not retroactively applied. ResaleTruth reserves the right to modify or discontinue the promotion at any time, provided it does not affect customers who have already received the credit.

7. eBay integration

Connecting your eBay account grants ResaleTruth read-only access to your eBay sales and fee data via eBay's official API. We comply with eBay's developer program policies. You can revoke our access at any time in your eBay account settings or via Settings → Integrations in the app.

ResaleTruth is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay Inc.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other accounts
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service
  • Transmit malicious code or interfere with service operation
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan item limits

9. Your data

You own your data. We don't claim any intellectual property rights over the content you enter into ResaleTruth. We process your data to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

By using the Service, you grant us the limited right to store, process, and display your data as necessary to provide the Service.

You can export your data at any time via Settings → Export. We don't lock you in.

10. Service availability

We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantee in v1. The Service is provided "as is." We'll communicate scheduled maintenance and major outages via email.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the financial data it produces is suitable for tax filing. ResaleTruth is not a licensed tax advisor or accountant. Consult a qualified professional for tax advice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResaleTruth's total liability for any claim arising from the use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical. On termination, your data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion, giving you time to export.

14. Changes to these Terms

We'll update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in Hillsborough County, Florida.
