From Goodwill tag to
real profit number.

Six steps. Two minutes to set up. Then it runs itself.

Connect your eBay account.

Takes about 2 minutes. You authorize ResaleTruth through eBay's official OAuth flow — you log in on eBay's site, eBay hands us a revocable token. We never see your password. Read-only access: we can't list, relist, cancel, or message buyers.

Once connected, we start pulling your sales history. eBay's API gives us up to 90 days back automatically. Older data you import via CSV — one uncomfortable afternoon of reconciliation, then clarity for the rest of your career.

We sync every sale, fee, and label.

Every order that comes in on eBay flows into ResaleTruth automatically. Final value fees, promoted listing fees, international fees, eBay Managed Payments shipping labels — all pulled and attached to the corresponding order. Not an estimate. The real number, from the source.

Shipping labels bought outside eBay (Pirate Ship, USPS.com, Shippo) don't come through the API — you'll add those manually or as a monthly expense. We'd rather tell you that up front than pretend we have data we don't.

Add your real costs in one tap.

Create a resource profile — your standard cost stack for a sourcing run: bubble wrap $0.40, poly mailer $0.25, 20 minutes at your $20/hr labor rate. Apply the profile to a batch of items in one tap. Then enter the purchase price when you acquired it.

Most resellers skip this step with other tools because it's friction. We made it fast on purpose. Capture cost basis at the sourcing run — log it on your phone in the Goodwill parking lot — and the rest of the year takes care of itself. Garbage in, garbage out: this is the only step that requires you.

Item sells. We close the loop.

When your item sells on eBay, ResaleTruth detects it automatically. The sale lands on the item record, fees attach, the loop closes. You don't mark anything sold — we already know.

Returns, refunds, and cancellations all reverse automatically. The item goes back to active inventory. Fees recover. The P&L adjusts. You didn't have to do anything, and nothing slipped through.

See the truth.

Open the item. The real number is right there — not what eBay says, what you actually made. Sale price, minus every cost, equals net profit. The number you've been guessing at for years, finally made explicit.

Flip through your item list. Every card shows net profit, margin, and ROI. Sort by worst performers and you'll immediately see which categories are costing you money. Sort by best and you know exactly what to source more of.

Reports — done in minutes, not hours.

At tax time, hit export. You get a ZIP with everything your accountant needs: Schedule C summary, per-sale detail, per-purchase log, mileage, home office, consignment payouts. PDF or CSV. Hand it over and stop dreading April.

Year-round, run sourcing ROI reports to see which locations pay off, aging reports to see what's been sitting too long, cashflow view to see when money is actually hitting your bank account. The numbers that used to take a spreadsheet weekend now take thirty seconds.
