How we count your store size (and what affects your plan)
Your store size is the count that determines your plan tier. Understanding it helps you avoid surprises when you’re near a limit.
What we count
Store size = every distinct product you’re currently managing in ResaleTruth, regardless of how it got there.
That means one row per product — not per unit. A listing with 40 identical pairs of jeans still counts as one product, the same way a single vintage lamp does.
What goes into the count:
- Active eBay listings (synced or manual)
- Draft items (added but not listed yet)
- Items imported via CSV that are Active or Draft
- Sold items from the last 90 days (they stay on your P&L while recent)
What doesn’t count:
- Archived items
- Sold items older than 90 days (these roll off your active count)
- Consignment items you’re selling for others (counted once, under your account)
Trial: 25 items
During your 30-day trial, you can track up to 25 items. The count is total active + draft + recent sold. At 25, new items stop syncing until you upgrade. You don’t lose data — items already in your account stay there.
Starter: 250 items
Starter allows 250 items under the same count rules. If you’re over 250 when you upgrade from trial to Starter, the oldest items archive automatically — you’ll get a warning before this happens.
Pro: unlimited
Pro has no item limit. If you’re consistently pushing against Starter’s 250, Pro is the right tier.
How to reduce your count
If you’re near a limit and don’t want to upgrade yet:
- Archive old sold items. Items sold more than 90 days ago roll off automatically. If you want to clear them faster, bulk-archive in the Items view.
- Archive draft items you’re not going to list. If you added something to ResaleTruth but decided not to sell it, archive it.
- Archive returned items. Returns that you wrote off can be archived.
Archiving doesn’t delete data. Archived items still appear in historical reports and Schedule C exports.
Why recent sold items count
We keep recently sold items in your active count for 90 days so they’re accessible for returns, disputes, and in-progress reconciliation. After 90 days they’re treated as historical — they stay in your reports but don’t count toward your plan limit.
