Cancelling or downgrading
We don’t make cancellation hard. Here’s exactly what happens when you cancel or downgrade, and how to do it.
Cancelling Pro (monthly)
Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription.
Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account automatically downgrades to Free:
- Items above the 100-item limit stop syncing (existing data stays)
- Schedule C export, API access, and Pro features become unavailable
- Your data is fully intact — nothing is deleted
You can re-upgrade anytime and everything picks back up where it left off.
Cancelling Pro Annual
Annual plans cancel immediately — no proration, no refund on the remaining months. That’s part of why the annual plan is 20% cheaper. You keep Pro access through the end of the billing period shown on your receipt.
If you’re within the first 30 days, email help@resaletruth.com — we’ll work something out.
Downgrading to Free
Same as cancelling Pro — you land on Free at the end of your current billing period. Your data is preserved. Items above 100 stop syncing new activity but aren’t deleted.
Exporting before you leave
Before cancelling, export everything:
- Reports → Schedule C → Export all years — full financial history
- Settings → Export → Full data export — items, sourcing leads, expenses, notes, everything in CSV
We don’t hold your data hostage. You have the same export access as a Pro subscriber until your billing period ends.
What happens to your data after cancellation
Your account and data remain in our system for 90 days after cancellation in case you change your mind. After 90 days, your account is deleted per our data retention policy. You’ll receive an email reminder 30 days before deletion.
